About this design

A digital advent calendar they open on their phone: a snowy 3D village house with 23 little drawers and a front door for Christmas Eve. One drawer opens every day from 1 December. It slides out, a character pops up holding a sign with your words, and then your photo and message appear.

Every drawer already has a ready-made Christmas picture with a joke or a little job, so it works as it is. Swap in your own photos and words on any day you like, and write the big surprise for door 24.

You set it up yourself on your phone in a few minutes, then send them one link by WhatsApp, text or email.

What they see

• A gift tag with their name: "A Christmas countdown for Poppy, from Mum & Dad"
• A real 3D house in a cosy room, with snow falling. They can turn it round with a finger
• 23 drawers that pull out, each with its own character (reindeer, elf, snowman, mouse, nutcracker, penguin, teddy, Father Christmas, polar bear, robin and fox) holding up the words for that day
• Your photo and message for the day
• Door 24 on Christmas Eve: the front door swings open, a present slides out, the lid pops off and your big surprise is inside
• Lots to tap: the post box (a letter from Santa), trees that shake off their snow, window shutters, lanterns, chimney smoke and a secret drawer
• Christmas music (your choice, or your own song) and sounds (there is a sound button)
• Opened drawers get a red seal, and a counter shows how many are open

A reminder every morning

On their calendar they can tap "Remind me every morning" to put a reminder in their phone's own calendar at 8am every day from 1 to 24 December, with the link. No app and no email address needed.

No peeking

Each drawer only opens on its own day (UK time). Tap one too early and it just rattles: "No peeking!" Missed a day? They can open it later. You get your own preview link that opens every drawer, so you can check it all first.

• Who it is for, and who it is from
• For any day: your own photo, a few words for the sign and a message, or keep our ready-made day
• Door 24: your big surprise, for example "We're going to see the reindeer!", with a photo if you like
• Optional: pick who pops out of each drawer (any of the 11 characters) and the little treat inside, or keep ours
• The music: one of our 3 Christmas tunes, your own song, or no music
• Optional: Santa's letter, and your WhatsApp number for a thank-you button on Christmas Eve

• The sound is part of the fun, so ask them to turn their phone's sound up
• The house, characters, pictures, sounds and music are made with AI tools and finished by us. The sample names, photos and messages in our pictures are made-up samples

Questions

• Do I have to add my own photos? No. Every day already has a ready-made picture and a joke or little job. Add your own on as many days as you like.
• Can they open all the drawers at once? No. Each drawer opens on its own day in December (UK time).
• When should I send it? Any time before 1 December. The drawers stay shut until then, with a countdown on the gift tag.

Do my guests need an app?

No. They tap your link and it opens in their phone’s browser. No app, no account.

Can I change the details after I send it?

Yes, as often as you like. Your guests keep the same link, so you never have to send it again.

How do I see who is coming?

Every RSVP lands on your own page, with names, answers and a running count.

How do I get back to my invitation?

Bookmark your page. Or go to tap2open.co.uk/start and type your order code and the email you paid with.
