Cruise Trip Reveal

About this design

A surprise cruise they open on their phone. A white cruise ship sails across a calm sea, the terminal doors slide open, and the big SAILINGS board flips to THEIR name. Then they collect a boarding pass, scratch the gold porthole, and find out where they are sailing.

You set it up yourself on your phone in a few minutes, then send them one link by WhatsApp, text or email. They tap it, and the story plays on their own phone.

How it works

1. BuyPay securely. Your set-up page opens straight after.
2. Add your detailsName, date, time and place. Your invitation is made there and then.
3. Make it yoursChange the words, photos and music from your phone, whenever you like.
4. Send your linkShare by WhatsApp, text or email and watch the RSVPs arrive.

What they see

• A white cruise ship sails across a calm sea on their screen, seen from above
• Frosted terminal doors slide open onto a bright cruise terminal hall with the ship outside
• The big SAILINGS board flips, row by row, to their name, "? ? ?" for the destination, their travel dates and "BOARDING"
• A "Collect your boarding pass" button. The pass comes up with their name, a berth, a sea-view cabin and a gold porthole
• They scratch the gold porthole with a finger. Their destination photo appears, the "? ? ?" on the ticket turns into the place name, the dates fill in and confetti flies
• Your message appears on the boarding pass, and they get buttons to say thank you and add the trip to their calendar
• Works on any phone, iPhone or Android, in the phone's browser. No app, nothing to install, nobody signs up
• Nothing gives the destination away before the scratch
• Sent by WhatsApp it arrives as a picture card, "Something has arrived for Sophie", not a bare link

Your destination photo

• When they scratch the gold porthole, a photo of their destination appears.
• Over 100 destinations are ready to go, for example Santorini, Norway, Barbados, Venice, Dubrovnik, Mykonos, the Amalfi Coast, Malta, the Bahamas, St Lucia, Madeira and many more.
• Is your destination not on the list? Message us on Etsy. We'll add a photo for it at no extra cost.
• Prefer a general picture instead? Choose a beach, city, snowy mountains, countryside or "above the clouds" photo. This works well for a surprise trip, or for keeping the exact place secret until the day.

Your message

• Add your own message (up to about 250 characters). It appears on the boarding pass after the scratch.
• Stuck for words? Ask us via an Etsy message and we'll write one for you. Tell us who it is for, the occasion and the trip.

Perfect for

A birthday, Christmas, an anniversary, a honeymoon, a retirement, a "we're going on a cruise!" surprise for the family, or a gift they will want to film. Made for a cruise or any holiday by sea.

Important information

• This is a digital item made for phones. Nothing is posted to you or to them
• Your Etsy download is a start-here guide, not the surprise itself. You set the surprise up online in the editor
• It is a web page they open on their phone. It is not a printable, not a video file and not a Canva template: no Canva needed
• The boarding pass is a gift, not a real ticket. It does not book or confirm a cruise or any other travel
• The QR code on the boarding pass is decoration only and does not scan to anything
• The sound is part of the effect, so ask them to turn their phone's sound up
• The pictures, video clips, music and sounds are made with AI tools and finished by us. The names and messages in our pictures are made-up samples
• All sales are final, as with all digital items. Message us before buying if you are unsure about anything
• For one surprise. Please do not resell or share the design
